Not too long ago, an incident that happened at Walt Disney touched me greatly. A guest checking out of our Polynesian Village resort(度假胜地) at Walt Disney was asked how she (21) her visit. She told the front-desk clerk she had had a (n) (22) vacation, but was heartbroken about (23) several rolls of Kodak color film she had not yet developed. At that moment she was particularly (24) over the loss of the pictures she had shot at our Polynesian Luau, as this was a memory she especially treasured.
Now, please understand that we have no written service rules (25) lost photos in the park. (26) ,the clerk at the front desk (27) Disney’s idea of caring for our guests. She asked the woman to leave her a couple rolls of (28) film, promising she would take care of the rest of our show at Polynesian Luau. Two weeks later the guest received a (29) at her home. In it were photos of all the actors of our show, (30) signed by each performer. There were also (31) of the public procession (游行队伍)and fireworks in the park, taken by the front-desk clerk in her own (32) after work. I happened to know this (33) because this guest wrote us a letter. She said that never in her life had she received such good service from any business.
Excellent (34) does not come from policy (政策) handbooks. It comes from people who (35) —and from a culture that encourages and models that attitude.

Until two years ago, Clearing, Illinois was a tranquil suburb of Chicago. But residents grew alarmed when they noticed armed teenagers on the streets, giving gang signals and shouting at passing cars. Then came a series of burglaries and graffiti messages on store- fronts. By the time local authorities realized they had a gang problem, it was too late. Last December, two 13-year-old girls were shot outside their school as they sat in a car with two members of a local gang, the Ridgeway Lords.
Nearly all 50 states have recently passed laws that allow youths aged 14-17 to be tried in court as adults. In about 25 states they have passed laws to punish parents for their children’s behavior. And in 146 of the nation’s largest cities, they have imposed curfews to reduce juvenile violence. When you look at the spectacular rise of violent crime among young people recently, it’s easy to understand the concern. Over the past decade, there has been a decline in adult murders in the US, while murder rates have surged for youths between 14-17.
For young offenders who aren’t sent to prison, the punishments vary: some are ordered to perform community service, others are placed in job training programs, still others sent to youth prisons. But the Republicans in Congress want to reverse a basic principle of juvenile justice: the separation of young criminals from hardened adult criminals in prison. The reasons are partly financial—to reduce the cost of having separate prisons for young people—and partly psychological—to end what Republicans consider as society’s overly protective attitude towards young criminals.

Why are two shots thought to be necessary People born after 1957 have not been exposed to a similar virus. The first dose "primes" the immune system to respond, but it’s the second shot that triggers the production of antibodies. This is not unusual. A number of vaccines are given for the first time in multidose series. For example, the seasonal flu vaccine is given in two shots to children under 9 if they’ve never had the flu.
Why are two shots thought to be necessary
A:Because most people have not been exposed to a similar virus. B:Because one shot is enough to trigger the production of antibodies. C:Because flu vaccine has always been given in two shots. D:Because most people have never had a flu.
